Related Items in Collection Disk drives, documentation, software, Franklin Ace 1000 and Franklin Ace 1200 clone systems, various later Apple models.
Related Items Wanted Apple ][ and Apple 1 (yeah, right)

Introduced in 1979, the Apple ][ Plus was Apple's third machine released, after the Apple I and Apple ][. The Plus was virtually identical to the standard Apple ][ model, but it had a different ROM monitor and a floating point BASIC.

This particular Apple ][ Plus has two floppy drives, a joystick, an 80 column card, printer card and that strange keypad that you see in the picture. I honestly have no idea what that item is, so if there are any hints out there I'm hoping for some information.

I also have a full set of manuals for this machine, as well as a couple of dozen disks full of software.

I'm looking for a working Apple ][+ with a monitor shelf. Ideally I'm going to try to run the machine with an Apple /// Monitor (Not Plus). I'm a serious LOST fan and this will also help with some of my Programming. Here is the link to an image of my final result: http://www.thetailsection.com/HatchComputer2.png

Please email me if you are willing to sell either (or both) of these things! - Lachlan

I used to own one of these back in 1981 and ran various BBS's on it from 1984 to 1987. The Apple ][+ only was able to type UPPERCASE. I ended up changing one of the chips on it so that it would do both UPPER and lower.

We had a Sider 10 meg hard drive and a Novation Apple Cat with 212A card. Later I got a Hayes Smartmodem 2400. I eventually moved on to an Apple //e and an Apple ][gs with 1 meg before jumping to the PC world in 1987/1988. These computers were my stepping stones to entering the world of I.T.

If you had a Novation Apple-Cat, you should remember using a program called Cat-Fur to be able to call BBS's to flip-flop the 300 and 1200 duplexes since the Novation Apple-Cat was a 1200 baud half duplex modem unless you purchased the $275 option of the 212A card.

My Junior High computer class had a whole bunch of Apple ][+ computers by the time I got there where we were learning to program using Applesoft BASIC.

I remember these from high school, never could afford one myself so I had atari and commodore 8bit machines. My school had a number of the black Bell & Howell apple II's which were made under licence as I remember.

Hi, unfortunate for some I'm located in NYC, NY area. I have an Apple II plus in working condition which I purchased from an original owner. It comes with one Disk II Drive and the Apple Monitor III. I should have some the manuals he gave me. I've only powered it up and tried one of the Floppy Disks to test that it worked. Have not fully checked the keyboard out. If anyone is interested I'm willing to selling locally or ship if it's worth my efforts. This was a complete system purchased from a local computer store from New Hyde Park, NY with the company labels on each of the individual pieces.

Please contact me if you are selling an Apple II plus - must be in excellent working condition. I live in the Silicon Valley - Pacifica, CA. Interested in purchasing this locally - as I would like to see it and buy it directly with cash.

Way back in the day, when I was playing with these in JrHigh, programming in BASIC, I learned how to control the Floppy drive. Me and a few friends discovered the 'PUNCH CODE,' or rather how to selectively perforate a floppy disc by crashing the read head into it. Those of you who remember working with punch cards will find this amusing. We sure did.

I'm looking for a pair of nylon black velcro that is used in the apple II plus computer to attach the lid to the unit. They are shaped like tylenol capsules but have these little tiny bumps on them. i'm collecting them for historical purposes.

So if you have an Apple II plus and don't mind parting with that, please let me know. If you wish, I can send you industrial strength modern velcro. My email is bacon[nospam]junkie (one word, just remove the [nospam]) at yahoo.com

I have a fully operational Apple II Plus with both drive and Apple monitor along with all manuals, games and extra 5 floppys. Bought it from a tax accountant many years ago. ( Have those records too!)

I have a box of games (floppy disks) for the Apple II plus...Winter Games, Scott Adams Adventures, Canyon Climber, Load Runner, Datestones of Ryn, Gobbler, Grand Prix, Puckman2...just to name a few. It goes on and on. Also includes Bank Street Writer. The disks have been stored correctly through the years but I cannot guarantee that they all work. These are free to a good home. Email and I'll ship them out ASAP! Thanks!

Correction: The 6502 Processor used in the Apple II line was manufactured by MOS Technology, not Motorola.

(Submitted October 4, 2005 08:07:08 by Kurt Risser)

When an Apple ][+ was sold, it came with a complete set of manuals. These included a complete firmware listing, electrical schematic, and a guide for people who wanted to build cards to work inside the machine. Apple was truly open with its design in those days. When Apple introduced the Mac, that all changed.

The Apple ][+ was a great machine, among the best of its type in its day.

hello i was taking notice to your site and just wanted to say that i have a black apple 2 in my possession now and am trying to get rid of it. It has only had 2 owners one before me. The keyboard is black but they didn't make a black monitor (so i have read) so i have a beige monitor. The cpu comes one but with the monitor not showing a picture it is hard to tell if it is working properly. The light on the monitor is on but no picture. I have 2 drives to go with it. I have pics of it that i can supply. I have more than enough software for the unit and some still in original packaging with the books to go with it. If you are interested please feel free to drop me a line, or if you know someone that would be interested in it. Thanks for your time.

Might be a 16 button puck for a CAD program. Might be a game paddle??
