The Amiga 500 was the second Amiga machine produced, after the Amiga 1000. The 500 was an all-in-one design that needed only an external display to be useful.
The Amiga 500 in my collection came in its original box. The box is a bit beaten up, but still shows off the graphics nicely.
The contents are fairly complete with the full styrofoam and the manual. Unfortunately the unit lost a function key along the way which will have to be replaced.

Hi I remember playing on my Amiga when i was very young and i cant think of the game i loved. It was similar to Mario with the different levels and im sure it had 'sisters' in the name. The first level was outside and at the end of the level you came to a big tunnel then underground for the second level. There was also little legged creatures who killed you if you didnt turn them to stone. Does anyone have any idea what the name of thsi game is? Its driving me mad!

Hi, I had an amiga 500 as a kid and my favourite game was Mega Pheonix. I've been looking for a copy for years but whenever I try searching the internet there are never any matches found. Does any one remember the game or where I can find?
Once you have amiga floppy disks as image disks on your PC, you can actually run them on a real amiga with this cable available from: http://amiga.krishnasoft.com and trying ebay at:

I've an amiga 500 in a box with most (i think i has all) of the
original items. it's been sitting in shelf gathering dust. the unit
never changed hand, and was cleaned before getting put away
into its box and stowed away. Anyone who want it can have it,
for whatever you want to pay, or hell, just to take it away. My
parents are cleaning the apt, and it will be simply thrown out
soon.
Email me soon before it ends in the junkyard.

Any Offers?
looking for a good copy of workbench for my amiga 500..any help would be appreciated ...
Wow an Amiga 500 was my second computer after the Commodore64. Awesome sound for the day, I still search Google for software and sound for the Amiga and 64 I want the game Marble.
My father-in-law owned one of these, and he
basically abandoned it in favor of an IBM PCXT.
The Amiga was way ahead of its time - the Amiga
Workbench GUI wouldn't be surpassed in the
Intel/Clone world until Linux/KDE/Gnome came on
the scene.
I remember playing Electronic Arts Arctic Fox -
a 3D tank FPS on that machine. I think that might
have been EA's first game...
Mine has no PSU, the extra (go faster?) switch needs re-wiring & drive button broken. Loads of games! Free to good (charing) home. England
I am in the UK and have a complete boxed Amiga A500 with power supply for sale make me an offer anyone.
I have a boxed up Amiga 500 (with 1MB RAM), a screen, external disk drive, & loads of games / programs to go with it. Would anyone be interested in buying this bundle?
I have two Commodore Amiga 2000 pcs that I'd be willing to sell. All kinds of software too and one has the Video Toaster installed. One Amiga seems to have a bad harddrive. There are monitors for each. Both monitors work, but one has a bad on/off switch (switch won't stay in/on, without help).
Amiga 500 is the first computer I ever got and it rocked!! You could learn computer language, do great pictures in Deluxe Paint and play some great games, although the only one to really stick in my head was James Pond!
I have just seen some parts which may help fib74
& Peter,take a look at

You cannot use Amiga floppies in PC floppy
drives. The disks are not compatible.
You will need a Catweasel mk3/4 drive controller
for your PC if you wish to use Amiga disks. See
http://www.jschoenfeld.com/
How can I play my AMIGA A500 Plus Floppy disk in a Pentum 111 window 98.
