PC Magazine was the first magazine dedicated to the IBM PC line of personal computers. They began publication nearly a year after IBM announced the PC. The magazine was a big success combining some technical content with product reviews and industry analysis. PC Magazine was also an advertising goldmine and almost every company who made hardware or software related to the PC took out ads at one time or another.

Although the first issue was fairly small, it did have an interview with a then virtually unknown Bill Gates. Later issues quickly became very large.
