Notes | The Osborne 1a was a minor update to the original Osborne. It had a more rugged case (white instead of beige) and a few minor styling tweaks. |

After about a year of producing the original Osborne 1 the company revamped the model somewhat to make it more durable.
The second Osborne in my collection is one of these newer items. It is functional, although the keyboard latches have failed (so much for that additional durability). It came with most of its documents and software as well as a modem that sits in the "disk storage" slot beneath the left hand disk drive.
